The Tesco to Cheshunt Walk

Towards Tottenham Lock

The Walks

The walk is along the River Lea Navigation. We start at Three Mills (map) and finish at Tesco head office in Cheshunt (or the railway station) (map)

We will start at 10:15 am from outside Tesco in Three Mill Lane. We aim to be at Markfield Park around 12:30 pm for a short lunch break (around 45 minutes). The walk will finish at Cheshunt Railway Station at around 5:00 pm.

The Route

Enfield Lock

The last ever Tesco to Cheshunt was on 30th September 2012.

Here is the route

We will start at 10:15 am and walk along the River Lea Navigation. After leaving the Three Mills, we pass the Olympic Stadium, and then past Lea Bridge Road to Walthamstow Marshes. We stop at Markfield Park for lunch, aiming to be be there at 12:45 pm. Lunch break is 45 minutes. Then on to Enfield Lock and Waltham Cross, and finishing at Cheshunt.

Tesco at Bromley by Bow opens at 12 noon (starting from 16th September 2012). Hence the walk on 30th September will be affected.

As an alternative, we will convene at 9:30 am the Carmelite Cafe which opens at 9am on a Sunday and is just opposite Bow Church. The cafe has very good coffee and cakes, and home made sausage rolls.
