__NOTOC__ [[Image:Three_Mill_Lane_b.jpg|thumb|right|Three Mill Lane, East London]] The '''Three Mills Loop''' is a circular walk around the towpaths of the the River Lea Navigation and the Hertford Union Canal. After a short stop at the edge of Victoria Park, the walk goes past Roman Road towards '''Bow Quarter''' and '''Kingsley Hall'''. It takes place on the first Sunday of the month, unless the winter weather is too severe. This is a circular walk, and hence we aim to return to Three Mill Lane (by about 4pm). The complete walk is '''unsuitable for children under 10''' although they would enjoy the shorter versions of the walk. Alternatively on a single yellow line nearby. Tower Hamlets Parking Zone B2. Bromley by Bow Tube, Bow Road DLR (or Devons Road DLR) and then a ten minute walk. Buses 25, D8, 276, 425 (High Street, Stratford) or 108, 488 (Hancock Road, Tesco). The S2 has been replaced by two buses: 425 and 488 (as of July 5th 2008). Map coordinates: 51.527294,-0.007898 ==Meeting Point== Meet inside the House Mill cafe (open March to December) or outside in Three Mill Lane (at Bow Creek). '''The walk is free of charge, but donations to the House Mill would be welcomed.''' You can buy something to eat or drink in the cafe before the walk. All major road crossing points are pedestrian controlled lights, or subways. There may be crossings on minor roads that are not controlled by lights or have a zebra crossing etc. The towpath and Greenway paths can present some problems. There are steep steps up and down to the Greenway, with inclines as alternatives in most cases. Along the towpaths, there is one pub on the route [http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/16/16975/Top_Of_The_Morning/Victoria_Park The Top Of The Morning, Victoria Park]. Just after the pub we stop at a corner shop in Parnell Road, where there is a brief scheduled stop. There are other shops and pubs as we walk past Roman Road towards Bow Chuch and Kingsley Hall. Note that this walk is expected to last three hours, and there will be more walking than talking. There are "break points" such as High Street Statford, where a return to the House Mill is possible or to take a bus onwards or homewards.
